There has been an ongoing nation-wide outage of one of the Tier-1 internet provider in the US. This has been going on for many hours now, but the effect seems to have accrued in the last hour or so.
The issue does not come directly from our ISPs, but rather from a larger backbone between ISPs. You may observe different behaviors depending on the route taken by your ISP to reach our service.
Telecommunications (faxing) don't seem to be too much affected by the issue.
Things seem to have returned to normal now, although there is no official announcement yet from the Tier-1 provider in question.
Due to the nature of the issue, a failover to our secondary DC does not help.
