End of support for SMTP TLS deprecated protocols and weak ciphers on November 10th 2016

Team XMedius -

XMedius will take another step forward to comply with the latest industry standards regarding security, with the ultimate goal to provide customers with the most secure service, according to their own practices on this field.

Today, we are announcing that we will discontinue the support for deprecated protocols and weak ciphers used for SMTP TLS on our mail servers. More precisely, all RC4/MD5 and low cipher suites, as well as the SSL 2.0 (SSLv2) and SSL 3.0 (SSLv3) protocols – which are known to be not secure – will no longer be supported on emails sent to/by our servers. This change should however not impact the availability of the service offered to our customers.

A service maintenance will occur on Thursday, November 10th 2016 to proceed with this security update. If you encounter any issues following this service maintenance, please contact our Technical Support Team.
